After such a long career, should you continue investing time in iOS or look for other technologies to cover the range?
When progressing your career, you might eventually reach a situation where every day feels like it’s on autopilot. The routine might bore you, challenge you less, making you wonder what next step to take.
I’ve been in this position several times. It either made me switch jobs or look into new challenges, like starting a new side project.
What you should do in this situation totally depends on your interests. I’ve seen colleagues who are completely happy with their routines, while others decided to become Project Managers to refresh their environment.
Diving into other technologies can increase your capabilities, but your knowledge will also become more scattered. This is once again a personal decision, but I’ve always been a fan of specializing into a niece to be the best developer you might possibly become in your field. In other words, I would recommend continue investing time in iOS.
