This week's question comes from
Mark:
What’s one thing that you wish all the junior iOS devs knew?
As a junior, getting as much experience as possible is crucial. You want to learn as much as possible and fail often to know how to do better next time.
While this sounds like many tips at once, a crucial thing helped me progress rapidly early in my career: a place where I could work on many projects with many different teams.
For me, this was an agency where projects ran for about three months. After that period, I would start a new project with a new team. In other words, you can start from scratch again and build another app with the experience from previous projects.
The challenge here is to find such a place, but my golden tip for early progression is to seek employment with a digital agency focused on apps rather than a big company with a single app.
