It’s that time of year when once-a-year discounts are offered on all kinds of products, including RocketSim and my Going Indie course. It’s the best moment to increase your app development productivity and to kickstart your indie journey to make the most out of your side projects.
Before sharing details on getting these discounts, I’d love to introduce you to my products. If you already know them, you can skip forward and claim your discounts here.
RocketSim – Build apps up to 2x faster
RocketSim is a developer tool that enhances Xcode’s Simulator with over 30 extra features that help you build apps faster. In recent research on existing users, we found out that they’re, on average, 2x faster. Last month, a team trialed team licenses, and one developer already saved 4 hours while using RocketSim’s User Defaults Editor on the first day.
The currently most popular feature is RocketSim’s Network Traffic monitor, which allows you to inspect outgoing network requests, explore their JSON responses and other request metadata:
But you might also enjoy these helpful features:
- Simulator Airplane Mode: disable networking just for your Simulator app while keeping your Mac’s connectivity untouched.
- App Actions: test Universal Links, Simulate Locations, and trigger Push Notifications.
- Professional Recordings: Create screenshots & videos with touches, audio recordings, and device bezels.
- App Store Connect Captures: Easily capture screenshots and videos and let RocketSim convert them for direct upload to App Store Connect.
- Accessibility Testing: toggle accessibility features or change dynamic text size while having your Simulator front and foremost for quick validation.

Course: From Side Project to Going Indie
You might have read my article “Going Indie: From Side Project to Going Independent,” in which I announced my decision to go fully independent. I left WeTransfer after being a Staff iOS Engineer for 7.5 years simply because my side projects made six-figure revenue and had too much untapped potential.
How did I grow my side projects to six-figure revenue while having a full-time job?
You probably think I had no life, but the opposite is true. I became a dad of two, married my wife, built a new house, walked the dog thrice daily for at least 30 minutes, played golf every week, and chilled out with my friends whenever possible. All while slowly but surely building up my side projects’ income to make enough to go fully independent.
There’s no excuse to make your side projects a success, you just need to embrace your potential
I developed several habits and techniques that directly impacted my results. I never wrote articles about these since they are too meta, but after going independent, I decided to use my time to share all my learnings in a dedicated course to help you embrace your potential. I do this by covering the following modules:
- Building an Indie Mindset
How to set realistic goals, adopt the indie mindset, and embrace the growth journey. - Goal Setting and Planning
Setting and reviewing quarterly goals, using effective management tools, and defining your financial success. - Maintaining Productivity & Focus
Maintaining momentum, handling challenges, developing consistent work habits, and utilizing AI & automation. - Development Best Practices
Organizing projects efficiently, utilizing a personal SDK, and writing tests for productivity. - Marketing and Audience Growth
Building and engaging your audience, optimizing products, and learning from case studies. - Financial Strategies
Monetization techniques, setting financial goals, and reinvesting for growth. - Practical Applications
Learning from real-world examples, repurposing content, and diversifying revenue streams. - Sustaining Your Indie Career
Maintaining motivation, embracing continuous improvement, and adapting to change.
The course offers lifetime access to the following:
- 31 Individual video lessons
- 5 hours of content
- Bonus resources, including a financial sheet to plan your point of going Indie
- Updates to all future course materials
- A community forum with all other Going Indie members
And, not the most important but very welcome, you’ll also get $184 worth of discounts on products I use during development. These include Sketch, Cleanshot, Raycast, Tower, Helm, and many more.
The course and discounts will kickstart your indie journey; the community is a place to connect with like-minded creators. I’m active there personally and already answered several questions from those seeking independence. I would love to receive your questions there and help you on your journey!
Best of all: You’re getting a 50% discount this week
I spent much time building both products and rarely gave away discounts as high as this week. Yet, once a year, it should be possible to allow you to enjoy RocketSim and my course at a lower entry point.
All you have to do is sign up for my weekly newsletter on Swift & SwiftUI by using the following landings page, and you’ll receive the 50% discounts directly in your inbox:
Enjoy Black Friday week, and I hope to welcome you to either RocketSim or my course (or both! 😉 )
Thanks,
